Concepts such as resilience and adversity are used often in debates about education and student health, but also on a societal level. However, ‘resilience’ and ‘adversity’ are not neutral terms. The conference invites paper proposals that discuss core texts – any literary, philosophical, historical, or sociological text or artifact such as a movie or painting that has a cultural impact – that help us reflect on resilience and adversity in different times and places, on the personal or social level.
