Cooperation with EPICUR brings a new partner: AMU, Poznań, Poland

ECOLAS is pleased to welcome the recently established Liberal Arts and Sciences program at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, Poland, to the ECOLAS network.  Housed in the Faculty of History, the program functions within the Centre for Liberal Arts and Sciences directed by Professor Rafal Witkowski. Liberal Arts AMU welcomed its first cohort of twenty students – virtually – on 1 October, 2020.  The program offers a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree which features a first year dedicated to the Fundamentals of liberal arts learning before students concentrate on five academic disciplines – History, Philosophy, Biology, Earth Science and, Political Science and Governance.  The curricular design is interdisciplinary in nature with a significant number of elective courses offered. AMU is a member of EPICUR, the European Partnership for an Innovative Campus Unifying Regions.  EPICUR is a collaborative effort to create a new European university inspired by a liberal arts approach to learning and teaching.
