New issue of journal Kritika & Kontext on liberal arts

Slovakia based journal, Kritika & Kontext, No.60, published in Slovak-English language, explores the status of education and the potential of Liberal Arts to reform the Bachelor Degree in Europe. It opens with ECOLAS Manifesto and states that higher education in Europe stands at a crossroads.

It poses a question: does our current Bachelor’s Degree respond adequately to the contemporary needs? Does it provide the skills and personal traits that will strengthen democratic values in the EU? The answer to such questions must be an emphatic “No”!
