Paul Sterzel, University College Freiburg

Paul Sterzel is Managing Director of University College Freiburg (UCF). After studies in Political Science, Economics, and History in Germany and France, Paul worked in research projects on science and technology policy and globalization at the Technical University and the University of Munich.

Since 2010, he was involved in the design and launch of UCF at the University of Freiburg, shaping its Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) model within a research‑intensive university. His interests include strategic and operational aspects of organizing interdisciplinary formats in complex higher education settings and the internationalization of LAS learning and teaching. He also helped establish the first national LAS network in Germany.
