From 21 to 23 November 2025, students from Liberal Arts & Sciences and other interdisciplinary study programs from across Europe came together at the City of the Future conference at Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany to explore one central question: How do we want to live in the city of the future?
The conference took place thanks to the financial and organizational support of ECOLAS. Through engaging discussions, inspiring keynote talks, and a diversity of personal and academic backgrounds, lively dialogues emerged — along with new perspectives, creative ideas, and bold visions. With great energy and commitment, participants discussed, reflected, and worked together on developing solutions on the topic.
This format highlights how important it is to create spaces that enable and encourage meaningful exchange and collaboration. It has also brought inspiration for future collaborative students activities and emergence of Liberal Arts and Sciences Student Network. You can learn more about the network here.
