ECOLAS supports students at the Bristol Liberal Arts Symposium

Liberal Arts programme at Bristol University, UK calls for proposals for a one day student symposium Alternative Futures, Possible Presents. The symposium celebrates the 10th anniversary of the programme and invites students of any Liberal Arts programme from around Europe to this event on Tuesday 20th May 2025.

The symposium theme is ‘Alternative Futures, Possible Presents’ and contributions which speak to this theme are particularly encouraged. However, ‘open’ proposals from students interested in other topics are also welcome. Non-traditional approaches as well as presentations are welcome; some suggestions are given on the attached Call For Contributions but the symposium is open to exploring other ideas. Students may present work or run discussions/activities in groups as well as individually. The deadline for proposals is 1st April 2025. The symposium hopes to build connections between Liberal Arts students at different universities and the organisers would love to see as many programmes represented as possible.

ECOLAS will provide a travel grant of €200 for 5 students. You can apply to us by sending us your proposal or contribution that you wish to present at the conference. Please, send the proposal by April 15 to [email protected].
